Any filmakers in Finand willing to make something together?

Hi guys

was wondering if there are any filmakers in Finland (better in Helsinki) who would like to hook up and do some short together, to get some experience and learn something having fun? I am an amateur filmaker, I have some DSLR gear and editing knowledge as well. I am looking also for actors, screen writers, sound people, crew members and all sort of enthusiasts with a passion for creating some cool short together.
Also any suggestion from fellow Finnish members would be appreciated ... any place where to go to meet some ?

m bit surprise there is no answer at all ... is it cos in Finland there isn't much going on or maybe am I in the wrong forum ? Any suggestion ? :)

I've had pretty good success finding amateur actors for projects on craigslist. I've met some good friends that way that are still friends today. Put together something you want to shoot, a simple short film or a music video, and write up a description on craigs and see what happens. Keep it simple with the lowest amount of actors possible. Your scheduling difficulties go up exponentially each time you ad a new member to the cast. If it's you and one other person, pretty easy. You and two people, well, one can make it on Wednesday, the other works Wednesday but can shoot on Saturday, etc. Once you get over 3 people, well good luck finding a day everyone has free at the same time.

In the USA. I've never been to Finland. But I'll bet it's the same everywhere. In smaller towns (not Los Angeles or NY city) there's a few people that are into film making and acting, and you see the same people over and over again on all the local indie productions. Actors tend to know all the other actors in town because they all work on the same theater productions, go to the same casting calls, work together on short films and music videos etc. Once you meet a few of them, they can introduce you to the rest.

Film makers are always looking for free help. Someone to just help move lights, unload the truck, put a chair over there, etc. Go help on some local productions and you'll meet the people that like to make films and act in films.
 
There are 4 ads only in film/tv section: 3 for porn and 1 for a radio station job :)

I've also found that it's feast or famine. Sometimes nothing is going on, and then suddenly several productions at once. If there's nothing going on the people that want to do something (not porn) will be interested in the ad you post.

Go do something! If you're not ready for a full on production then do it as a "workshop". Get some actors and practice shooting some scenes. Actors love to get the practice to act and you can practice shooting and editing. Just have fun recreating a scene from your favorite movie. You'll meet some cool people I'm sure.
 
I am not concerned about what u suggested :)
My concern is about craiglist as a whole. I don't think it is used in Finland at all for such things :) That's why I posted here, hoping to get some feedback from fellow Finns who would also direct me to some other forum. Unfortunately I don't speak much of the local language so there will be limitations in my search.
I thought this forum is quite popular but maybe I was wrong :)
