Any Experience With Camera Cranes?

Re: Any Experience With Camera Cranes?

You're looking seriously at camera cranes or jib arms?

I have experience with both of them crashing.

Glidecam Camcrane 200 has been a topseller for us for stability and reliable performance. The Cobra Crane II+ has been in our rental department for a year with no problems, used by 100+ people.

Re: Any Experience With Camera Cranes?

Thanks for the demonstration of the Cobra Crane. That piece was outstanding. Lots of great cinematography with out calling attention to itself.

Re: Any Experience With Camera Cranes?

By the way, why the Cobra Crane II vs. Cobra Crane I? Wouldn't the DVX work okay on Cobra Crane I?

Re: Any Experience With Camera Cranes?

yes both would work fine w/ the dvx...the cobracrane 2 is a 2 arm version for heavier cams...i have the cobracrane+ which actually goes 2 ft. higher than the cobracrane 2....

Re: Any Experience With Camera Cranes?

I took Boo's advice and got the Cobra+ too. It's a great lowbudget crane that works amazing.

Yeah, I tested out that Glidecam Camcrane at the EVS store and it is pretty sweet. Costs only about $500 and fits right on your tripod.

I gotta get down there to buy one soon.
