Any exp with source 4 par and Molepar 1k

I'm looking for a 15amp light that's punchy to add to my kit. I got 2 64 parcans and I was going to get a source 4 par, but then I found out about a molepar 1k. I cant find photoelectric for a 575w but I was still thinking of purchasing 2 s4.

The S4 par I've seen are in worse condition than the molepars. But with cost somewhat similar can I get some input on user experience on set. I need portability and easy setup. Based on the page below the source 4 are more portable and the molepars are easier to set up. Any preference with anyone?

I have a pair of S4 750w PAR lights. I carry each in a full size milk crate along with their lenses and accessories. They are a great light to have in the kit, and I feel make more sense to own over the MolePAR in 2016. If you keep a watchful eye, you can find them in pretty good shape used on eBay for a steal.

All the best!

Is changing the lens a pain like I've read by otherz? I work at cinelease, but the one I'm at don't have either; they're not used frequent enough on the bigger productions. Thus no exp., also to keep a smaller footprint I prefer using different globe watt for a single light, so how easy is changing the globe?

The Molepars are basically a more compact, expensive version of a regular PAR can. Functionally they aren't really any different other than having a nice long cable and a switch. The barn doors aren't good for much other than holding gels.

If you need portability the S4 par will suit you well since a lens set will take up as much space as a single PAR64 lamp.
