Any exellent zoom lenses out there...

...for about $800 :D

1. I would LOVE to get an excellent lens that went from 28-150-ish... but I have not a clue as to the speed you could get for the budget...

2. Also, should I only look at Nikon?

3. And, can I get a second mount for a Brevis to be able to rent/borrow other lenses?

4. Is a 3.5f not fast enough for low light stuff using a Brevis?

5. Which are the good Nikons?

6. Can anyone link me to some good lens threads?

or would something like this with a prime 28mm be the same?

I am hoping to score a kick arse 28-70mm 2.8f and later compliment it with a 70-looong mm 2.8f to use with a great on camera LCD for focusing... I doubt it would match at all but I might try to use the stock HVX for long lenses for a bit... but if that is just not acceptable with the GG's look then I might get both right away.

ok... enough monologue posting for tonight... hope you guys can guide me a bit to building a fast and clean kit to cover 28 through 150+
