hey guys,
I need some angelic kind of help. I'm home visiting my family and our beloved old eMac (1.25 Ghz, 1 GB) is sick. Months earlier, while I was in Paris, I had assisted over the phone my mom & dad in doing a restore of the eMac, since it had been behaving bizarrely and we had tried out everything else. The parents struggled a bit, but after a few hours told me the computer was restored.
Well, upon arriving in Italy a couple of days ago I discovered that the computer hadn't worked since the restore. Long story short, I realized that my parents had used my old(er) iMac's "Install and Restore" disc (instead of the eMac's), which resulted in all kinds of problems and a permanent shrunken resolution at 640 x 480. The only solution would be to use the eMac's "Install & Restore" disc and erase & install the drive. Problem is – the one I have is badly scratched and won't read.
I also know that in certain countries there are multiple discs for the procedure. Well, the eMac I had purchased in Italy back in 2004 only had two Install & Restore discs. No. 1 has all the data, no. 2 has PDF manuals in all languages.
Do any of you guys own an eMac and could make me a copy (that is, image disc copy) of the "Software Install and Restore 1 of 2" via Disk Utility? I'd be eternally grateful
