I was watching Stranger Than Paradise today.
I can't say I'm a big fan of this film, despite some good actors, it's dramatically tepid and aimless.
But I did admire how desolate some of the shots look, and I liked the texture of the imagery very much.
Which got me wondering how it would compare to the look and feel of digital features finished in black and white. While I can think of many many indie features that I like that were shot in black and white within the last fifteen years, I can't think of one b/w shot on a digital format of any kind that had some kind of release, or very strong festival run.
Does anyone know of one?
