Any big crews or independent Filmmakers filming a COVID19 Documentary?

I’m just wondering.

I heard a rumor of a crew trying to debunk this Coronavirus but can’t find that crew. I’m sure they probably gave up when they found out this is real. Haha

Not part of that(not surprised that someone is taking that angle, though), but in a holding pattern right now for a doc possibly starting soon. Don't know how much I can say, but we had to actually go through, complete and receive certain FEMA certifications so that we will be able to follow these people around.

Slightly different but related subject. Funny you bring this up. We are 2.5 years in on filming our docu series. We have basically finished shooting, other than the final episode, which would take someone giving us financing or a brand alignment to have the funds to finish the last episode.
I spoke with someone the other day and he asked me, "Are you going to cover the Covid 19 crisis in the docu series?" All three of our main subjects are obviously in quarantine like the rest of us. We can't go shoot anything with them right now. We could
ask them to shoot some day to day routine of themselves just with their phones.

But it got me thinking, when this virus has settled down, will people want to watch a docu series, for entertainment, that has scenes of the monotony, fear and boredom of the quarantine? Thoughts?
Our docu series is about strong women athletes and their lives. It focuses on these women as inspirations to other women and girls. Not sure if we should cover it and try to get post quarantine
interviews and coverage or not? We're all going through it, dealing with it. Is the Covid 19 virus affecting your stories for your documentary type programming you're producing?

I wrapped filming a feature documentary JUST before Covid 19 hit NYC -- and it has hit us HARD. As a matter of fact I'm in Queens which is pretty much the epicenter of the world pandemic now. It's very scary... Anyway, I have been working on a postscript to the film, which is about the gig economy and gig workers. In fact, one of my subjects (a Uber driver) just tested positive for Covid 19 (he had a hellish week but is recovering). I decided that it doesn't have to be a prominent feature of the doc, but I feel I needed to include it because it is relevant to the subject. Gig workers have been transporting people and delivering food, medicine and other necessities during this whole emergency. So, I've been getting some shots of drivers, delivery people etc. doing their jobs while wearing masks. Just B-Roll and keeping a safe distance from the sidewalk, trying to be as careful as possible and following social distancing guidelines...

Perhaps that was people following the #filmyourhospital

Yes I would definitely include the quarantine part in the film, since they are athletes it truly effects their work, dreams and story...@puredrifting
Would be interesting to watch.

Im doing a doc following the decision-makers in Sweden during Covid-19. So into it indeed.

Drift, it's a great chapter in the life of athletes. These people are active and need to be active. To be cooped up. What are they doing to keep in shape, keep there sanity. How is it affecting them. This is a once in a lifetime event. It should be documented, whatever it is. For athletes that watch it, when they see the athletes reaction to Covid, they'll sympathize and remember "yea, that's what it was like". Non-athletes can sympathize as well, remembering how their lives came to a standstill. I'd definitely ask them to shoot themselves to get their daily thoughts and some daily routine, conversations between the athletes. What are they doing as a group since they are apart? That's a story many can relate to.

Just today I read a couple of interesting stories about athletes trying to still train under these tough conditions:

Am sure there are many others out there like that! Hope people are documenting them.
