Anton Bauer powers how many devices

Never used Anton Bauer batteries, but thinking of making an investment. Just wondering how many devices can be powered at one time. Does it have multiple power taps? And in what configurations?

In the Anton Bauer line, the battery is just a battery, and only connects to the "Gold Mount" mounting plate, which is usually hard-wired to the camera. To power additional equipment at the same time, you would typically connect them to the "D-Tap" polarized socket which is part of the mounting plate. If one outlet is not enough, there are adapters (kind of the DC equivalent of a household power strip) that can give you multiple additional D-Tap sockets to plug into -- four seems to be the common size.

According to the Anton Bauer site, the Dionic 90 battery can supply up to 6 amps of current (that would be 86 watts at 14.4V), and the Dionic HC (for High Current) battery can supply 10 amps, or 144 watts. They don't specify the maximum current for the Hytron (nickel metal hydride) series, but it should be at least as much as the Dionics (lithium ion). As long as the total current draw of your equipment is less than the battery's rated maximum, everything should work OK, although the endurance will of course vary with the amount of current used and the capacity (rated in watt-hours) of the battery.
