Anton Bauer batteries

Are the Hytron batteries any good? About 4-5 years ago I think they were pretty popular but when I recently decided to unload most of my gear I tried to sell them and got zero inquiries. I priced them about half of what I paid for them... Has the tech changed that much to make them so worthless?

I ask wondering (aloud) if I should just keep them. They are very heavy, seem to be more complicated than I wish power has to be....

Nicad and nimh batteries have about zero value now, no one wants to mess with the memory issues or the weight per watt-hour. The most valuable part of those batteries is the connector/mount plate because you can use it to make adapters for other mount styles or custom packs. That said they would be worth dollars not tens of dollars.

The chargers are also about worthless since they only charge nicad/nimh batteries.

Sorry for the bad news.

Most A/B chargers built in the last decade should be able to charge nicad, nimh and li-ion.

As far as the HyTron batteries, I own about ten working(more or less) one's currently and have owned God-knows how many HyTron's over the years. Loved them until about five years ago(give or take). Weight and HyTron(ni-mh) tech itself has nothing to do with it for me, it's the QC from A/B, now. It started out as the batteries neared the end of their warranty, they would die before they should and now I'm running into batteries that **** the bed only being a year old or less(only having a few cycles on them). A/B is not the same company that many of us once looked up to and relied on to provide us with professional power solutions for TV production. As I've said before, I'm one of the few guys(maybe the only guy) in my circle that still uses actual A/B batts, and I'm looking at other options, now.
