Anti reflective spray

Can anybody recommend a good anti-reflective spray for photographing shiny objects such as plastic banners in a studio lit environment? I've heard simple Aqua Net Hairspray is good because it's water soluble. Also heard of Krylon Dulling Spray and Kenro. I'd like a good general purpose spray that I can trust not to stain things.

Any thoughts appreciated!
 
All that stuff works and so does deodorant containing powder. It is hard to dull a large surface and make it really even, though. Can you move the lights, camera, tilt the banner, etc?
