Ok... I know and have gone through the stickied threads as well as others here and all over the internet, ha! I am about to purchase my boom mic but I keep going back and forth between the different options.
Quick background: I will be learning sound, I have a T2i and a zoom H4n, so I am trying to keep the actual mic as close to $200 as possible (up or down from there) I am not opposed to spending $300 for something with a large diff but from what I have read that's not the case.
Anyway, I basically have it down to the Rode NTG2 and the Audio-Technica AT875r , whats the best bet as far as quality and versatility. IS there some newer model I am missing?
