I have my Dell XPS 400 all customized on their website, but i am now trying to decide what video card to buy...either the :
256MB PCI Express™ x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) nVidia GeForce 6800
or the
512MB ATI Radeon X1900 XTX.
Those are the only 2 options. The ATI Radeon is $450 more.
I plan to run Premiere Pro 2.0 and maybe some After Effects and Magic Bullet Editors...From what I understand, the video cards are more important for gaming. Can I get away with the PCI Express (cheaper and 256mb instead of 512mb) ?
I realize there are probably other posts on this topic that I can sift through, but if anyone has some input, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!
