Another Teleprompting question

Here's something from reflectmedia, makerof the one stop chromakeying kit,

With the display panel directly above the camera lens the viewer can detect no change in eyeline when a presenter is at a regular distance of 2-3m (8') from the camera.

Can anyone verify that putting the teleprompting screen above the lens is indistinguishable from putting the screen in front of the lens?

Have someone stand eight to ten feet away from you. Tell them to look at either your eyes or your forehead, but not both. They should not tell you where they will be looking.

Then, decide for yourself. Can you tell what they're looking at? Does it look like they're looking right at you, even when they're actually looking at your forehead? I'd bet it would. The eye line angles flatten out the farther from the camera the subject is. From 50 yards, you wouldn't be able to tell if someone was looking at your face or your belly button. ;)

The only problem is that the LED litering with reflecmedia (an amazing green screen set up!) makes it really hard to see much else than the litering when looking at them. However since you have to have the litering 10' at least off your talent, you should not be able to distinguish too much of a difference. Do you currently use reflecmedia?
