Another Slow Mo ?

Barry, if you see this, this is in reference to a previous post that a user had. Shooting Weddings in 24pa progressive mode,
what is the best way for slow motions? 50% of the speed or shoot the slow motion shots in 60i? Aslo Iam shooting letterbox mode since squeeze loses 25% of its quality. At least thats what I think happens in squeeze without the adapter. Your thoughts please..

Re: Another Slow Mo ?

If you know you're going to be slowing down a shot, you will get much smoother results if you shoot it in 60i in the first place.

And the choice between letterbox and squeeze should not be based on resolution -- it should be based on what your intended display device is. If you're making your video to air on a 4:3 television, shoot letterbox. If you're making it for a 16:9 TV (or for an anamorphic DVD, etc) then use squeeze.

Thanks Barry,
Final product is going to a DVD, Bride has a wide screen TV but other folks has a regular. Guess they will get the bars. Just got the Vegas 5 +DVD yesterday. Iam really excited about it. Cam with a light addition of Boris and Magic Bullet.
