Hello Listers,
I've been upgrading my workstation and went from a tower MacPro to a mid-range trash-can MacPro. Now I'm considering what the fastest scratch disc might be. I suspect a SSD via Thunderbolt would be the fastest, but not totally sure. Another option, at the same price would be a Thunderbolt Raid-0 with two 7200RPM drives. Price wise, a 500Gb SSD is about the same size as a 6TB Raid-0. I can live with the 500GB capacity.
This wouldn't be used for storage as I have that handled already.
Comments and suggestions would be appreciated
