Another M2 Redrock question

Probably a stupid question, but....

I am about to do my first shoot with my M2 and was (foolishly?) planning to shoot some with the adapter and some without. But I'm don't know if that is even feasible/practical. It seems like it's going to be a major pain to take on and off, no?

Also, I got a hardcase for the HVX but there's no way this is going to fit with the M2 on it...so I'm either taking it off anyway to transport it or traveling with the rig out of any case or protection.

Any experience and insight into this situation would be appreciated.

Once you get your side to side ajustments made and then your back focus set, you can just remove the RR from your rails and use the Camera as normal. Its not that much of a problem once you have the first setup. Go to the RR forums and watch the setup and alighnment videos for proper adjustments. Good luck. Youre gonna love it.

Okay, cool...so I just remove the RR from the rails. Duh.

Still, it's going to be a pain to transport with those monster rails. I guess I can be careful when I'm going across town...then bite the bullet if I'm going on a plane.
