Another Film Question

I know that everyone else asks this question, but I have some specific details I would like to know.


I own a Sony DSR PD-170.
First--
Does that shoot in 60i?

Second--
How would I adjust the manual settings on the camera to make it look more like film?

Third--
I have Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0; Is there any effects that I can apply to simulate the film look.

And finally--
I am shooting a feature and i want eveything to look as consistent and perfect as possible.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Yes it shoots 60i (Don't ya' have a manual mang ?)

Study lighting and composition and try this:

The true filmlook unfortunately is in the 24 fps/p cadence.

so much to learn, so little time.

if you're shooting DV then you should at least rent a 24p camera like the DVX or even the HVX.

Get some cool filters for post work.

Read up on lighting.
