Hi,

I posted another thread about a dolly that would look down using a mirror arrangment. Today I got the parts for the dolly and made nearly all of it, just need to finish it off tomorrow.

Heres some pics.

Its abit wobbly at the moment, as the aluminum (fresh from the extruder) has afew nicks and scratches on the surface but im going to scrub it back and polish it. If that dosn't work and its still wobbly I will replace the yellow conveyor roller wheels for some higher quality ones with rubber tyres.

Works quite well though...

For an elevated "slider" type dolly like this I suggest you use a section of aluminum extension ladder and secure some 1.25" PVC pipe on it. The wheel assembly will hold the pipes at the proper distance (or you can fix them to the ladder section) and you'll be surprised at how well it works. To finish it off rub your pvc pipes with lemon pledge on a rag... it will yield footage smoother then a baby's bottom. Cheers.

I did try adding pledge and it turned the kitchen floor into a zero friction deathtrap... Didnt seem to affect the smoothness much though.

I reckon the footage i got off it with the piano works quite well.... I only started building it on friday evening...
