Another AVI Situation

Does anyone know of a camera that produces 1080 24P footage to an AVI file?

I was recently asked to document a few 2 hour presentations with 2 camera angles and they wanted them delivered in AVI at the conclusion of the presentations.

I own an HVX200 and a GH2 and am really only familiar with that workflow. I did discover that I could run the feed from the HVX200 through Adobe OnLocation which captures to an AVI file. But that still leaves camera 2 in a different format.

So I guess what I am after is has anyone ever had to do this, and if so how?

I could have rented another HVX and tried to find another Laptop to capture with but my quote was for using my gear. And I could have captured and converted for them but they wanted it then and there and I don’t think they wanted to increase the budget for conversion time.

It is my understanding that AVI is not a good wrapper for HD but they were fairly insistent. I want to make sure there wasn’t something I was missing.

Thanks for any help.

There is essentially no way around this that doesn't involve encoding. They must also be more specific with their "AVI" request. I'm willing to bet that they want an H.263-based AVI file (DivX or Xvid, for example), but there's no guarantee.
