Android Tablet as a second monitor?

Hi guys,

I have limited space at my place and I really cannot have another monitor hooked to my laptop 24/7. I need a solution that I can hook up when I need to edit on premiere and that I can remove when I´m not editing. I know there is a way to do this wireslessly with android tablets but it´s super slow and useless for editing. I need to know if there is any way to use an android tablet as a second monitor via USB or HDMI.

They are only output devices. If you need a portable go with any ext monitor like you would connect for monitoring a video shoot.

You can use an android app with EOS cameras. I have done it on set. There is a lag in the video but the on screen display allows touch screen acess to exposure controls of the camera. Works pretty good.

If this is for a preview monitor, what about hooking the laptop up to the tv? You could even use the tv as the main editing workspace, and your laptop screen as the preview monitor.

You need a TV that can be properly calibrated. Most any 'computer' display won't do.

How about the lenovo LT1421 usb monitor? Has anyone tried it out?

Here is the review of the Lenovo usb monitor. I think the bandwidth is just not enough.
