Anamorphic single focus

Hi guys

I wanted a single focus solution for my Isco Gold because the one I have degrades the image significantly. I wanted the Hardcore DNA as it is supposed to be the best but I can't find a website anywhere. Anyone knows the company's contact?

Thanks

Hardcore DNA is made by Rectilux. They have a Facebook page and website, but I think you have to email in order to purchase.

Do you have a small Isco gold (same size as the red Isco) or large one? If it's the large one, the Hardcore DNA won't fit, and you should get the Rapido FVD-35.

If it's the small Isco, the Rapido FVD-16A is comparable to the Hardcore DNA and I think it's much cheaper. Tests from someone else here: https://vimeo.com/277831080 .

There is also the FVD-16B, which I believe is the sharpest single focus variable diopter someone is currently making. The travel is so long, though, that it's not going to cover wide angle lenses.

Here's Rapido's website: https://www.rapidotechnology.com/products/front-variable-diopter .

Also, all variable diopters are just two moving diopters that cancel each other out at infinity focus. Brian Caldwell (of Metabones and Caldwell Chameleon anamorphic lenses, and who designed lenses for Panavision) researched some variable diopters of his own design and found that the main way to get superior quality was to use weaker diopters which had longer travel: https://www.eoshd.com/comments/topi...module-fm-lens/?do=findComment&comment=170522 . I'm almost positive this is why the FVD-16B exists.
