Anamorphic Questions

Hey guys,

I am considering using the anamorphic adapter on my dvx100 for my new short film.

I don't quite understand why one would use it if it wasnt going to be blown up to film.

I am also concerned that it limits my options for using any of the century wide angle adapters or their achromatic diopters. Does it?

Please share your opinions on these product.

Lee, the purpose of the lens is to give true 16:9 ratio, filmout or not. If you want true 16:9 aspect this is the best way to get it, and it looks really good on an HDtv, which I am lucky to have one of. Unfortunately it negates the use of any other lens while it is attahced, one of the draw backs.
