Hey all, posted this in technical as well, but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas here...

Have a pressing problem that I would like your advice/solutions on.
Shooting a feature on the 100A. We're shooting 16x9 with the Panasonic adapter. Today was our first day of shooting. When we looked at the dailies today, we realized that we had been shooting in SQUEEZE MODE with the anamorphic adapter on...
So, our image is doubly squeezed now. We are wondering what to do next. For all subsequent days, we will obviously revert back to shooting in NORMAL mode with the adapter on. However, we need to salvage this footage. I spoke to our editor, who said that it will be possible to import the the footage into Final Cut, then blow it up to resize it back to normal 16x9. He said there would be some resolution loss, but it would not be too bad.
My questions are these:
1)Is this the best way to handle this? Should we import into Final Cut and then resize? If so, what is the best way to go about doing this? Do we import the footage as 16x9, or as something else? Has anyone tried this, or have experience with what the actual loss of resolution will be?
2)Is there another way to salvage the footage? Would it be possible to import the footage along with everything else in the same manner, and then just have the few scenes we shot today be more stretched than the rest of the film?
Really in a tight spot here. Thoughts.....?
Thanks!
