I filmed major sequences for a documentary on my (non-DVX)panasonic DV camera with an Optex anamorphic lens but rather cleverly managed to have the lens on the wrong way creating the wrong anamorphic squeeze and thus the interview footage, in particular looks out of proportion with bodies shortened and objects like noses very drawn out from the face. I tried to correct it on FCP by using a normal square timeline setting rather than the anamorphic, but it still looks not quite right.
Any ideas how to fix in post as these sequences are not able to be re-filmed!!
