Anamorphic in Capture or Sequence?

Hi,

When capturing 24PA SQUEEZE footage, I've simply used the "Advanced Pulldown Removal" preset. Then, I create a sequence with "Anamorphic" checked.

However, I realized I can create a custom capture preset by duplicating "Advanced Pulldown Removal" and checking Anamorphic.

So, is there an advantage to capturing in a custom preset with Anamorphic checked, or is it the same as capturing regularly and editing on an Anamorphic timeline?

The anamorphic switch in FCP just determines how the footage is displayed in the canvas and viewer. The actual capture is identical- 720x480 NTSC no matter what. However if the footage is squeeze it makes sense to capture with anamorphic and to edit with anamorphic so you see everything in the proper aspect ratio display in FCP.
