Anamorphic adapter cons

Can someone tell me the cons of using the Anamorphic adapter? I was about to buy one, but then someone who used one told me that it was hard to frame the shots correctly and that projecting the video was problematic.
I want the widescreen look to my movie, but don't want any added problems when I project it and go to DVD. Thanks, any feedback would help!

The anamorphic adapter is a complex issue. It has two major "pro's": it converts your camera to be 16x9, and it gives you up to 33% more resolution than Squeeze mode would. But there are many cons that go with it: it's somewhat expensive ($940 retail), it requires a lot of work to make sure it's focused accurately, and it needs to be kept within certain focus/aperture combinations in order to even be able to be focused. You'll also be limited in that you can't use telephoto or wide-angle adapters with it (although it in and of itself is a wide-angle adapter), and you'll have fewer matteboxes/filter options. That's an overview. It took me about 34 pages to describe everything about the adapter, it's a chapter in The DVX Book. But that's an overview.

Ok I bought the Book, I need to know about the 72mm 16x9 anamorphic adapter and its use. I have the 16x9 anamorphic adapter, Do you have to set the Camera to 16:9 when the 72mm 16x9 anamorphic adapter is attached?

The lens turns the camera into 16x9... see how it looks squished vertically in the viewfinder/LCD?
You don't need to make any adjustments. Your camera is now 16x9.
