On the sets I've worked on, nobody gives enough credit to the sound guys. Though I work in the visual aspect, I always try to help out sound.
I've had many DPs and directors get real pissed at sound because they asked to hold for a car driving by, or because they asked for a take 2 due to an unexpected shift in dialog levels.
