An actual, sit down and be serious interview with a published author

I'm about to do my first sit down interview with a published author. I just finished reading the book and to be honest...it's pretty good. An autobiography.

This is going to be a lot different than taking months of videos in biker bars and adding some narration to music, and a lot different than political commentary and a world away from taking hours of bear videos and putting it together in a viewable package. No one got shot or beaten to death in this one and I don't even have to FOIA mug shots or dashcam footage.

All of the above I can pull off because I'm....colorful. Now I have to try to polish some of the rough edges off of my redneck accent, use words with more or less than than four letters and try to make sentences with more than two words.

This could be tough! :undecided

I'm getting a car camera in my car too, just after I got the box installed I went out to see how it monitored my driving and I got cut off by some lady and had to drive onto the sidewalk to avoid hitting her car!

Would be nice to have a recording of stuff like that so I can report idiots like that.

Is this for a client? If not, I'm not sure you should try to change your image or fake who you are. Be yourself, be colorful, but ask good questions to guide the author to good answers and an interesting interview.
