AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :D :D :D :D

It's 11.25... and yet it's still funny. I suppose humor knows no time.

Re: Amityville Horror again!

Are they going to play it closer to the book this time? I recall the book really scaring the heck out of me.

Re: Amityville Horror again!

I'm looking forward to this because I thought the original was really boring. I'm of the opinion that, if you're going to remake a movie... remake a BAD movie. Make it better.

Re: Amityville Horror again!

Your confidence is high DvPixl.   :)

I just saw the trailer and it looks like the same old cliches to me. :(

Re: Amityville Horror again!

The only reason anyone gave a rip about Amityville was because it was touted as being a true story.

Well. Now that it has since been outed, why should we care about a remake? The story qua story isn't anything to get excited about.

Now, if sometime during the film they show the city limits sign saying "Amityville", then lightining shoots down, knocking off the "ville", and music starts going Ba-dum --- Ba-dum --- Ba-du ba-duh ba-duh....etc, and this huge shark fin goes tearing across the landscape...

Now, that, I could get interested in.

Re: Amityville Horror again!

that could be interesting Gen.
but my confidence isn't so high enough to trust that this would be a good movie but better than it's predecessor.
but the pictures are really nice. maybe I was bought by the cinematography- who knows. i dunno.

Re: Amityville Horror again!

I remember reading the book as a kid, when it first came out. Scared the crap out of me. I got goosebumps right now just thinking about it.

The movie, well that's another story.

This has been out for a while, but I saw it today at the cheap theater and I was pleasantly surprised. Some nice scares, decent performances, and the story made sense (mostly). The mom living the kids in the house all the time kind of bugged me and I would have liked to see the husband's change a little more consistent, but other than that it was pretty damn good. Oh yeah and the last shot was very cool, good way to end a horror flick. Worth watching.
