Simon Cowell just announced this is his last season on American Idol, he has a new show airing in the US in 2011 called The X Factor, it's another talent show that he will judge and produce.

This is hopefully the end of American Idol (excluding reruns for the next 20 years).

Correct, Cowel's company owns it and he is going to go on as a judge for 2011, it will be aired in the US market and probably hunfreds of foreign markets now.

Simon Cowel is the #1 most powerfull person in reality tv so I'd expect it to be a huge worldwide sucess.

I ment a show that's new for the US, sorry about that.
