American Gangster

Yeah...looks like it could be pretty good. I'm a fan of based on true stories/interesting people type flicks like this one.

Yeah, this does look very interesting. Super powerful cast, and I like the period aspect. Be very curious to see what Scott does with this.

I sure am:)

Like I said. Never saw your thread.

Anyway, it would seen that they just lumped both threads into one.

But I guess I 'll get over it.

It looks like it should kick ass. I thought the trailer was extremely well done. At the very least, mad props to whoever cut the trailer.

Yeah, the trailer is what makes me want to see this. It isn't one of those trailers that makes you feel you have seen the whole flick, or that it is one dimensional...it leaves you wanting to know more.

I think that this might be a solid film if handled properly.

cast is good.
story is good. - based on a guy who imported drugs in coffins...you cant beat that.

i think this is a MOTY contender

it was really good, maybe one of the best this year. Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe and Josh Brolin was perfect for this movie.

I agree with "solid film". I was entertained thoughout though...and the acting was fantastic all around.

SPOILERS:

Im not sure what I thought of the end. Seemed kind of abrupt.

Oh...and the scene where Denzel shoots that guy in the head out in public was probably the coolest scene Ive watched in awhile.

I liked it a lot.

The pace was nice and it felt real while I was watching it.

Spoilers:

I agree that the headshot in public was awesome. The ending seemed a little abrupt, and I wanted to see more between Crowe and Washington.

I definitely recommend this.
