American Cinematographer March 1922

Picture 3.jpg

Vol.2, No. 28: March 1922. *This* issue is the first time American Cinematographer takes it's monthly magazine form, from the former semi-monthly newsletter/magazine format. From April 1922 and onward, American Cinematographer was and continues to be a monthly publication. That is why April 1922 is Vol. 3, No.1.

I'll add more after set today.

I like that. Didn't AC update the cover with a guy in a space suit for like the 100 anniversary of film, or something?

That cover was actually used for many years. I have another issue from later in 1922 and it has the same cover, as does many others around that time. And yes, for the 80th anniversary of the American Society of Cinematographers (2000), the American Cinematographer magazine did recreate this iconic cover as a modern/future homage to the very first issues.
