AMD 64 FX 51 for editing?

Hi guys and gals,

In my restless quest for the best combination of high-powered hardware and software I have investigated the new AMD FX 51 chip. I have read reviews about their MPEG rendering speed, etc, and and see that some vendors supposedly support new 64 bit systems. Naturally, it will take some time for applications to be written or modified to fully take advantage of the 64 bit processing.

In the meantime, I have tried to put together an AMD FX 51 chip editing station that can use Avid Express Pro and the Mojo hardware enhancement.

I sent the specs for an Alienware Aurora Extreme system using what they call AMD FX 53--whatever that is--to another respected NLE turnkey manufacturer mentioned with praise on this website. They indicate that it is a fine system but will NOT work as is with Avid Express Pro. I am about to find out on the next phone call WHY they say there are some compatability issues.

IS ANYBODY right now using an AMD FX 51 processor--single or dual configuration--with an Avid Express Pro with Mojo setup?

If so, or if you know why it is a bit premature to try to put such a system together due to lack of motherboard support, or whatever, would you please update me on either the workability of such a system, or the inadvisability of this for now.

Thanks for your kind attention!
