Again, for those that don't know what I do, I do weapons for Indie films.
Lately, I have been contemplating building some heavy weapon props and expanding that aspect of our services: M2HB, Mk19, 25mm cannon, 81mm mortar, and a few others, as well as much heavier stuff. (You want tanks, I got the hook up. Doc is nothing if not a connection builder in this industry). They won't get as much usage as my M4 and HK stock, but hey, "idle hands are the devils workshop." Plus, they would look killer on the website.
That one is a definite prop, missing very important parts. Mine will blow this one away. Plus, homeboy is holding the damn thing wrong and in the wrong uni configuration, have a mind to contact them and kick some a$$. And the linked ammo is not coming out of the can, just hanging there.
I have the Mod3 barrel for this.
But, as some of you also know, I am entering into major trouble world, if I don't do this correctly. Meaning 10+ years in the federal hotel on weapons charges.
So today, I decided to reach out to BATF, and find out the process of getting a "Non-Gun Certification". I am very impressed. I spoke with a tech there in the research dept, explained my goals and plans. Not only did he answer my questions very accurately, he was extremely personable and even gave me tips on how to ease the process for the letter of Non-Gun. Of course, since I reached out to them, my reception was much more cordial than if it was the other way 'round, I am guessing.
Kind of gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I have renewed respect for these guys.
Thanks for the professionalism, guys!
