Am I wrong?

Pink floyd put out a film a few years back and I've owned three copies of it that I've purchased over time. Now it is out of print and no DVD has been released as yet. There is a pal version floating around but it's missing some of my favotiye parts. I have found and downloaded the original file because the film is a part of my soul. When they (if they) release it again on DVD I will be lined up at the store the night before for my copy. For now I have to live with a crappy Divx copy. I think I'm playing fair since it's out of print, would you guys draw the line any differently?

I did something similar with Buckingham Nicks. I found a copy of a CD in a small music store in Carlsbad, CA. It's a good copy, but a bootleg nonetheless. When they issue an official copy I'll be one of the first to buy it.

How did your bootleg copy come to exist in the first place? Did some wayward sound engineer take a feed off the board? What are the chances of it ever being released. I ask because I was thinking that in your scenario, If the bootleg became popular enough in the underground market it may draw the attention of the profit mongers ergo ensuring its eventual destiny as a full on legal CD.

No idea where it came from. There's been talk for years that it is going to be released...in the meantime...
