Am I setting/rendering properly?

I shoot on a Canon T2i in 1080/24p. I have never used this program before.

*In the project I am working on now, I am shooting mostly 1080/24p, but there are some clips that I am filming in 720/60p for slow-motion.

Template:
DV 1080-24p (1920x1080, 23.976 fps) *This I am not sure. I have some shots in slow-motion, so I should change it to; HDV 720-24p (1280x720, 23.976 fps) Correct??

Field Order:
None
Pixel Ratio: 1.33 (HDV 1080)
Frame Rate: 23.976 (IVTC Film)
Pixel Rate: 8-bit
---------------------------------------------------------------------
RENDERING:
Save Type As: NO IDEA?!?!
Template: NO IDEA?!?!

*If I need to work in Custom setting, What do I do?

***I want to save a copy on my computer, and then burn onto a DVD in best quality possible.***

Thanks!

I wouldn't change the project to 720.

All you need to do is take the 60p footage and change the playback rate to .4. You can do this by right-clicking on it and going into Properties.

To be safe, in the same dialogue box, choose "disable resample."

Oh, wow. I knew that. I cant believe I messed it up. Thanks for letting me know, that would have messed me up bad.

I still don't understand the slow-motion part. I know how to shoot on camera, but what I don't understand is the size of the video. Slow-motion is filmed in 720p, while the rest is 1080p. Doesn't that mean I need to get the 1080p footage and make it smaller to 720p to match the size?

Do I still need to keep it at this;
Pixel Ratio: 1.33 (HDV 1080)

or keep it at;
1.00 (Square)

as it gives in the default settings.

It's a matter of quantity. If the majority of your video will be 1080p, then you leave the project properties to 1080p. If the majority is in 720p, consider using 720p.

In the tutorial I show how to get the right settings. If you follow it, you'd see that the pixel aspect ratio is also changing when Vegas detects the settings off of such a MOV video. So, for the record, it's 1.000.
