Am I honestly spending too much?

Can you all please steer me in the right direction and let me know if money can be better spent? I'm looking to purchase the following items:

I am looking to have my boom wireless when necessary or for run 'n gun; therefore, I need to have a plug-in transmitter that provides 48v. I also need 2 lavs for interviews and short films. The mixer is going out to one or two hvxs depending on the shoot.

If you're going to spend that kind of money I'd highly suggest that you read the stickies and do some forum searching.

For starters, I'd write off supplying phantom to the mic via a plug-on... even if you're doing wireless run'n'gun you'll still need to control the LEVELS on that mic... which is why that mixer and bag comes with a harness... because at the end of that boom pole will be a boom OP running things... and in that bag is a mixer which supplies phantom power to the mic... why have an extra wireless link? A wireless system that supplies phantom via a plug-on will be at least $700... the one you showed is over $1K... and how much is a coiled cable? About $50? I can tell you hands down that any $50 cable is more reliable then a $1K wireless... so why add the weak link at a cost of $1K? If the boom op is touching the boom pole then he should be able to manage a 10' coiled cable (only 2.5' until you stretch it out)...

I should offer a service... I can tell you how to save $300-$1K for a better performing over all package... including most of the same items, but some different things... and I'll only charge you $100 for the PM... ;-)

OR... you could spend a little while doing a search on the items you want to buy and find out a lot more about them... as well as alternate suggestions for some things... and that is free.
