Why are they making this movie? Is every 80's cartoon going to be made into a movie?

I thought it was Keanu Reeves on the poster for a moment, then I realized it was Jason Lee.

Wow, between this and Underdog, Jason Lee is not having a good year...

Having seen the trailer for Underdog and not for Alvin & Co., I have to bet on Alvin being tons better...there's nowhere left to go but up.

Yeah, but Clerks 2 was pitiful and he was so lame in that role.

I bet his agent convinced him that he could become one of the better voice actors going after 'The Incredibles' (which he did excellent work in) and he's just thinking of Underdog as more Voice-work for his resume.

He needs another Cameron Crowe movie to get back into some real acting work in my opinion.

Just saw a teaser for the movie this past weeekend before "Chuck and Larry". Looked loads better than the poster implies, the chipmunks weren't rapping at all. Although, it was only a quick scene of Dave coming in and screaming "Alvin" just so the chipmunks would stop singing. It looked more like a true Alvin & The Chipmunks movie than whatever the heck that poster was trying for.
