A friend of mine uses aluminum gun cases - they are sturdy, come in various sizes and cost a heck of a lot less. You may want to check that out, too.

Been away a few days and just got back to this. I was answering two different threads at the same time from two different boards. If you think this was bad, you should have seen the reply from the other that was asking about inexpensive camera & other equipment cases for travel and found this link and post instead! ???
