Altrnative to surplusshed pcx

Yikes! That would be too big a diameter. I was going to buy the B77615, 52.3mm dia. x 78.4mm FL - grade 1. Is the grade 1 the better choice?

I believe Grade 1 is the better choice. I have gotten a few PCX from anchoroptics. I have found, and this may just be my experience, but the shorter focal lengths because of their larger curvature have caused some blurring around my image perimeter. I would love to know if anyone else has suffered this problem.

Sometimes if you MF is too low, you will see smearing.

Make sure the flat side faces the GG, not the other way around. Also, shorter FL means greater "magnification" (to a point) while keeping the PCX closer to the GG. You should start with 100mm FL 50mm diameter -- if you want some I've got 8 unopened here I got for $10 from Ancor -- they're rated 1.

When you're setting up the adapter (zooming in and setting the manual focus). If the MF is too low it will smear.

EX.

MF 04 - 06

o ok. im zoomed in 74 MF13. it was frustrating because i didnt notice the blurring until after i shot a full tape once and since i've tried a few diff. focal lengths.
thanks for the clarification.
