It tends to cause strobing, I've tried every which way to correct it, >auto amounts >temporal smoothing, etc. and of course adjusted it manually...The effect is helpful for the most part on a lot of my surf footage which was shot from the water and brings up the really dark areas of a clip without effecting the rest too much....
