Alternative Encoders.

Just wondering if I can render PPROCS6 projects with other encoders. Do not want to get into why, just would like to know if possible!

Thanks!

There are several encoders (third party) that can load into premiere.
It is not very interesting since most codec installed in the system will be also recognized by the adobe encoder, so the final result should be more or less the same.
The GUI provided could look better to you or offer additional features.
I think Carbon coder and mainconcept are able to do that.
Personally when i need such workflow, i use an uncompressed output from premiere and feed the result to another encoder. This is true for DVD conversion were it was admitted that the mpeg2 for DVD outputted by Adobe was not so great and CCE (cinemacraft) or FFmpeg were better or faster

I did not see anyway that a PPRO Project can be directly opened in those products to enable encoding. Maybe I am missing something.

Lack of info from the O.P does not help anyone offer suggestions I would add ...but maybe he has his answers already.

You can frameserve to another application.
I use this method when encoding for dvd.

Frameserving is the way i do it, i think it's the best way, you're not having to install something else that can break other things, there's not yet another piece of software with a learning curve. The process itself is a bit confusing and takes some time to understand, but once you get it, you'll have it to use. I frameserve to tmpgenc on final renders, and only use the internal renderer for quick renders. In early versions of premiere, deinterlacing sucked, so i learned out of necessity. No idea if the deinterlacing is any better, but there's so many more useable options when frameserving.
