So I forgot to take my expensive bounce board to a shoot.
PANIC PANIC PANIC!! NOT

Simply take a cardboard – Cut it is any shape you want – Round Rectangle
Glue/tape Aluminum Foil to the board / from your Kitchen cabinet door .

I think the whole thing would cost you less than a Buck.
If you really want to make it look good put black tape around the edges / sides
Or cloth .. Staple some cloth (cut out from a rag or old t-shirt) ..

Take some aluminum foil with you on the road .. save yourself some money and buy a
Beer / glass of wine
Kick back and relax .and make that movie ,,

When I started out, we used Tyvek insultation/construction boards. They are cheap, light, and you can cut them to any size you want.

That sounds good ... 'm not sure about the cost ..
Still you can't beat the alminium foil alternative for the cost
You can really make this board on the fly anywhere.

We have lots of fancy Flex style reflectors but lots of guys here use those cheap screens you put in the windshield of your car to block sunlight. Most have a silver finish on them and there's no goofing around trying to glue or tape fragile aluminum foil to come up with a make-do solution.

You can find them at just about any auto parts store and they collapse down and fit inside a light kit or suitcase just fine!

Here's a link to one I found with a quick Google search from a sporting good store.

Less than five bucks!

And for a dollar more...

A simple solution that I can tell you from experience works. It almost makes me mad at what they charge for "real" ones we use for production.

I found one of those windshield screens that was white on one side and silver on the other -- worked great, looked pro-ish, and cost $1. :)
