Also depends on what you have for dinner. A big dinner is a good buffer to heavy drinking.

Very true. I once read a study that said Asian food is the worst thing to eat before a night of heavy drinking, but I haven't found that to hold true for me either.
A little tip: honey is a great thing to eat before and after drinking. The fructose isn't metabolized as quickly as other sugars, so you don't get that blood sugar crash that is a large part of a hangover. That's why I love mead (honey wine). There's no hangover.:thumbsup:
