I've used the DVX for a couple of shoots now, but there were all projects that required lots of light with little blacks and no shadows. I'm getting ready to shoot a project at the end of May where I will have a table in the middle of a room with three actors sitting around it. I'm going to light from above, and the plan is to flag the light so that it's directly coming down on the table and actors while the rest of the room falls in black.
The question is, how does the DVX100, shooting in 24P handle blacks? Will a get a really rich black, or more of a washed out black? Also, any tips for lighting the scene?
