Alienware discount through forum?

I see the Alienware banner displayed at the top of this site with EVS and the Matteblox people.  

Is there any kind of discount being offered for forum members or does Jarred just really like their PCs? (who wouldn't)

I am actually working on getting a deal for users.. Alienware in my opinion have always made the best and coolest systems, and they just started making video editing machines. Stay tuned!

Awesome Jarred, definitely keep us (and me) posted. I will be in the market this summer and have had my eye on Alienware for years...

The glowing alien has always mesmerized me. Although somehow it doesnt work with my wife. I think alienware needs to develop a glowing alien that will mesmerize wives as well. ;D

I too am looking for an editing machine this summer. I'm still running off a 1.4Ghz T-bird.. It's time for it to go!

Ha Ha so much for that. Seems like they really arnt interested in Video applications, they just sell thier game rigs as Video rigs as a marketing tool. They didnt like DVXuser.com too much because they couldnt find Quake mentioned even once.

Anyone know of any good companies that are more focused on what we need? would be good to get them onboard and maybe get a DVXuser member deal for Hardware from them.

You could try ProMax, they specialize in building video editing computers. Maybe they'd be appropriate?

Yes indeed, Im going to try Boxx too, All they make is Editing machines so the systems are probally some of the best. They are the guys that beat Apple to the 64bit desktop, as much as Apple doesnt like to admit it.
