Anyone else following Albert Pyun? Its easy to dismiss his films but the man makes movies (lots of movies). Hes been cool enough to put sales figures- reports from one of his film "Invasion" and he is now self distributing three or four of his films this year.
Hes a little bit like Roger Corman and I'm a sucker for any filmaker that can make a watchable feature film in one night or three days("deceit""invasion")(I've watched neither of those films). In full disclosure I worked on two of his films when I was a kid. Kickboxer 4 (local casting associate) and Ravenhawk (stand-in for a couple of weeks). It was a blast getting a chance to lend a hand in many different departments and stand literally behind the director as he set up his shots. He was always pleasant and professional as I recall. I always liked how Martin Scorsese was able to value the works of Bergman and Roger Corman at the same time. Anybody have any thoughts?
