I was just wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how to do the effect in the video where the transitions fade each segment of the video into the next... its kind of hard to explain but watching the video would help because it will be obvious what i'm talking about. I've tried a couple things with animating masks with gradients but it doesn't really work the way i want it to. thanks for any help!

3 layers 2 with video 1 just black. he made a preset to give him that exact wipe and copied the transition periodically through the video. If you haven't fiugred it out I will try it myself and report back in detail

thanks that would help cause i just dont understand how to fade out each one individually without having to mask each one and fade them out because that would take forever

The bars are likely a pre made matte. Layout the bars, animate and render out with alpha. Import this file and use it as a track matte. Have fun.
