AJA vs Blackmagic Design for Thunderbolt Broadcast monitoring

I'm looking at the AJA Io line (the Io Express or the thundebolt version). Have used the BMD Intensity Pro in the past, and was impressed with their product line. I'm wondering about the newer and Thunderbolt versions of these products... does anyone have any experience or opinions they could share?

I have the Intensity Extreme (Thunderbolt) and having no issues. Love using it as a breakout box for my iMac and MacBook Pro

Agree with Thelonious. We use Blackmagic products in all our edit suites and JUST got the Intesity Extreme w/ Thunderboldt for monitoring out of an iMac and it works perfectly.

It's well known that aja products will operate much better with Avid. Other than that, they are about the same with the exception that Blackmagic products work with Davinci Resolve, of course.
