Ahhh! 24p in FCP.  Help me!

Ok, after a half hour of changing settings I finally got FCP to capture 24p footage with out having to render when ever I put a clip in the sequence.
But now I can't get it to play on my TV! I have my regular TV connected to the camera to view playback.

Someone please Help!

I've searched FCP and 24p on the site and got even more confused by peoples answers. I'm really not dumb, (at least I hope) I just can't seem to get it.

Well, pretty much what I'm asking is what is the best setting for my DVX and FCP for the best film look.

Thanks

Ok, it plays smoothely on the computer, but when ever I put a clip in the sequence, I just get a freeze frame on the preview monitor. Anyone know whats going on?

Try to make a search on this forum about 24P setting in FCP or on the web. I use FCP with the DVX and everythings are okay.

If your sequence setting is at 24 timeline it wont play back. It has to be at 23.98.

hope it helps.

Preview monitor? Is this a firewire device to a video monitor? If so setup to playback All Frames. (Refresh AV devices)
View -> External Video

Oh yeah baby! It's 1:30am and I just switched the pulldown mode from 2.3.2.3 to 2.3.3.2. Video's playing on the monitor smooth as silk. Booya! I will sleep well tonight.

Thanks Hanguolaohu for the link to the site that solved this issue. And thanks to everyone else that helped.
